"Anyone find him yet?"

No one looked up when Colby entered their team's mountain foothill base camp tent. When a scowling Billy failed to acknowledge Colby's comment, Don finally spoke.

"No, but Ian and David aren't back yet. We'll catch this guy, just like the others."

"Wait, they're still out there?"

All three of their heads jerked around at the sound of a loud wolf howl nearby.

"We need to find them." Colby murmured.

About ten minutes later in a nearby cave, a sniveling man was crouching with his back to the solid granite, unable to get further away from the two wolves bristling and snarling as they kept him pinned to the wall.

"Looks like we got you this time," Billy drawled, looking smug.

"No more technicalities," Don scoffed.

"No more kids to destroy," Colby continued. "You're done."

"Fine," the man spat out, fear mixing with sarcasm in his screeching voice. "Find some way to try me a second time! Forget about double indemnity! Just get me away from these crazy wolves!"

"They're not crazy," Don explained, showing no fear.

As the man watched, stupefied, the lead wolf shifted, changed, turning into a tall Hispanic man: Ian.

"No, we're not. And they're with me," Ian said, gesturing behind him as Billy, Colby and Don transformed into wolves. "Now, let's get down to business... Our pack decided you were our prey."

The wolves bared their teeth as they began to close in on the man.

"No!" The man scrambled to try to get away, but there was nowhere to go. Every exit was barred by man and beast.

"So like the kids you tortured out here in the woods?" Ian's eyes flashed a primal yellow as he began to transition back from man to wolf. "You're not leaving here alive."

I like this Wolf!AU. It reminds me of one I read where the whole fedcakes team were wolfcakes, investigating werewolf-related crime, Tameness of the Wolf.
