"So, how was it?"

Oswald smiled, watching Charlie bounce on his feet in excitement before answering.

"Well, as a mere Cal Sci undergrad," Oswald began in a playfully formal fashion, "I was honored to be invited to sit in on your new graduate seminar..."

"It wasn't too hard, was it?" Charlie asked anxiously. "Because I figured with your grasp of sabremetrics..."

"I got... some of it," Oswald admitted.

Charlie's frowned, but only briefly.

"Well, we can talk about it later. You're sharp. I know you'll get it. It's just such a fascinating topic! I couldn't wait to share it!" A thought appeared to strike him. "Please tell me that everyone's eyes weren't glazed over! I couldn't see past the stage lights so I wasn't sure how the audience was reacting."

"No problems with glazing over!" Oswald pronounced, spying Amita hovering in the nearby doorway.

"Charlie?" she interrupted. "Larry's looking for you."

"Oh! Okay! Thanks!" He turned to Oswald with an apologetic gesture. "Be right back!"

Amita sauntered over once Charlie left, a smirk gracing her lovely face. "No one's eyes glazed over? Yeah, right..."

"They didn't!" Oswald proclaimed, laughing heartily. "They would have had to have been open for that!"

Oh, this makes me wish we had more time with Oswald because this so would have been canon. I love it.
