Numb3rs Fic: Bullet and Bomb

Title: Bullet and Bomb
Pairing/Characters: Ian/Nikki
Rating: PG13
Spoilers: Sniper Zero, High Exposure
Summary: Ian and Nikki together make for an explosive combination
Notes/Warnings: Read the disclaimer on my LJ

Ian is gun oil, laser sharp eyes, lethal fingers.

Stealth itself, he weaves through the world invisible until he wishes to be seen. His work is heard, but not seen; felt, but not reverberant; critical, yet unlauded. He is there and then he is gone: one bullet, one man down - never him. He strolls off into the sunset, sniper rifle on his back: have gun will travel.

Nikki is yo mama sass, brown sugar skin, chili pepper spicy.

An explosive device, she blows down doors: takes names, takes prisoners, takes a saucy bow with an arched eyebrow. A quick quip on her lips, a brash act her next matter of fact move, she's all about getting the job done until the job's done and then she's a whole different kind of cocky.

When they come together it's with the force of a tactical raid.

Limbs clash, mouths crash, greedy hands take possession of dangerous weapons. They strip then search for secret stash, raid hiding places, claim what they find there with raised voices proclaiming victory with the strength of pillaging Vikings. In the quiet after comes a rare peace they both need.

No matter how far he travels Ian can find the way back to her door.

Because when the hero walks off into the sunset he needs somewhere to go.

And Nikki always gets her man.

These last two lines completely gave me cold chills. Another wonderful story that is so completely Ian and Nikki. I love these two... in canon and when they are coming from your pen (or keys as the case may be.) *happy sigh* I was just saying today that I needed some new Ian/Nikki fic to satisfy me. You must have heard the silent prayer because this was just what I needed. Thank you. *clings

I must have! Because I sat down to work on NaNo but suddenly what I got was "Ian is gun oil" so apparently the muse wanted to write a nice Ian/Nikki fic as a surprise for you! /hugs/

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Truly, I've not been in a very good mood today... just one of those restless days that make me cranky. But this? This made me smile and made me feel better about life. I think my Ian/Nikki muse needs to come out and play. Maybe that's why I've been so restless. You inspire me... in more ways than in fic. *hugs you until oxygen becomes an issue*

Yes, please to fic from you!

Writing is good for you. It's a wonderful escape, it's creativity given freedom, it's a respite from real life. So yes please, give yourself the gift of creative time.

Besides, who doesn't want to see more Ian and Nikki together? ;-)

I'm every so happy to have brightened your day, my dear. If anyone deserves it, it's you. /massive hugs in return/

"When they come together it's with the force of a tactical raid."

That is a great line. :)

The rest is pretty cool too.

This is amazing.

Every line of it clearly defines them seperately and then together.

The ending is just perfect.

Thanks, hon!

BTW, hope you're doing okay. I was offline so much in November with NaNo I kind of lost track of you.
