Don opened his mouth - to protest, question, marvel... But Charlie laid a finger over his lips: no speaking.

He shifted into Don's lap, kissing him as he molded their bodies together until they fit like they were created as two pieces of a puzzle.

Don's hands slipped under Charlie's shirt, seeking what he most craved as proof this was real: skin. He reveled in the feel of warmth and the flex of back muscles that proved this wasn't just one of his best fantasies, born in the back of his mind, never to come to light.

Charlie was kissing him. Charlie was straddling him.

Charlie wanted him the way Don wanted Charlie.

And he wanted him, but not like this, not on the couch. As if he understood, Charlie rose with him to edge towards the bedroom, neither of them able to take their hands off the other long enough to speed their progress.

Clothing fell like breadcrumbs in a trail to the bed, shed like a second skin of reservations and tossed aside carelessly like wrapping paper from a gift.

As Charlie's back hit his sheets, Don gazed down at the naked body splayed out before him. Charlie met his eyes and Don felt the boundless love shining in them like a caress.

Sinking inside was a revelation, bodies joining with such innate perfection that ecstasy came effortlessly. Twin voices gasped familiar names with fresh meaning, long denied need released creating a pinnacle of pleasure, matching hands gripping matched bodies in one final shudder of completion.

In the quiet after Charlie made to speak, only Don put his finger on his lips to halt him.

He pulled up the covers on the bed and tucked Charlie into his side.

Sweet sleep now.

The harsh light of day could wait.
