Pairing/Characters: Don, Charlie
Rating: PG13
Word Count: 100

Don doesn't understand why Charlie loves the forest.

After the traumatic experience of getting lost at age nine, he figures his little brother should have avoided it from that point on.

But he loves hiking so Don goes with him.

What he doesn't get is that Charlie was never lost.

+

Charlie doesn't understand why Don doesn't hate the forest.

Charlie ruined his big thirteenth birthday camping trip, so he figures his big brother would never return.

But he keeps renting cabins for them.

What Charlie doesn't get is that the woods taught Don not to take his brother for granted.

oh boys! /happy sigh./

I love the insights here -- That Charlie's genius is good for more than just math problems and that Don really does value and love his brother. /more happy sigh./ I need to watch this episode now, so I can sate the craving this drabble plants so beautifully. "I love ... working with my brother."

Brava!

I love both their views on the same childhood incident. Lovely look at both boys.
