"Anybody home?"

Charlie's voice accompanied the sound of keys being tossed onto the Craftsman’s console table.

"Out back!" Alan called in response, waiting for Charlie to open the back door to continue. "You were at that wedding a long time!"

Don and Larry looked up from where they were also relaxing in the backyard to find a rather unique expression on Charlie's face.

"What's up, Chuck?" Don teased.

Alan dismissed Don's humor with a wave, looking concerned. "Is something wrong, Charlie?"

Charlie opened his mouth to speak, paused, then let spool out "Not really..."

"Is Amita all right?" Alan asked.

"Yes, she's fine," Charlie answered. "I just dropped her off at a friend's place after the reception."

"Clearly something's troubling you, Charles," Larry offered, gesturing Charlie towards a seat which he ignored. "Did someone protest at the wedding or make some other unwelcome nuisance?"

"No," Charlie said, his features still contorted in what looked like confusion. "No one caused any trouble. It was just... Um..." He appeared to be searching for words. "A very unusual wedding. Kind of a little disturbing actually." He turned back to the house. "I think I need to go lie down or take a nap. My head hurts."

Don caught him on the wrist as he tried to pass. "What the hell was so wrong with that wedding that it gave you a headache?"

Charlie stopped, looked pensive for a second, then replied.

"Let's just say of all the things I expected today I didn’t expect the happy couple to have chosen such, um, non-traditional rites and rituals."

"So they're eclectic," Alan scoffed. "I've been to plenty of hippie weddings."

"Well," Charlie offered, "To give you just a tame little taste? There was fire and nudity and the handfasting was done with bondage tape."
